How many people do you know who've spent 60 years on the the same job at the same location? Yesterday afternoon at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, Patty Schreck was honored for doing just that, serving as the church's organist for 60 years.
Her first performance was V-E Day, May 8, 1945.
To celebrate her milestone, she was surrounded by family and friends, including Bishop Boland, Monsignor O'Neill and her beloved cathedral choir.
"It just means so much to see friends and family that I haven't seen in so long and they all came to honor me, which is just wonderful," she said.
You can look for Patty next time you're at the cathedral. She says she's not planning on retiring anytime soon.
