GSU Raising Money for New Museum Exhibits

If you think museums are dull and boring, you and your taste buds are in for a surprise. Georgia Southern's museum will raise funds for one of its biggest exhibits at a first annual food festival they're calling Feed the Mosasaur. Visitors can sample food from a dozen or so Statesboro eateries and even take cooking lessons.

It all helps the museum bring more attractions. "It takes money to bring in these larger-scale exhibits, so we're raising money to bring in more nationally known touring exhibits," said the museum's Wendy Denton.

The festival is Saturday from 10am to 4pm at the Nessmith Lane Continuing Education Center. The cost is $9 for adults and $7.50 for children four years and older.
