Continuing the march to Saint Patrick's Day in Savannah, yesterday was the public investiture of the new grand marshal. Past grand marshals of the parade led the way for the 2006 marshal, Tony Ryan, at the Savannah Civic Center.
Ryan received his sash from 2005 Grand Marshal Dan Sheehan and then the marshal's medal from his wife, Shirley.
This Saturday at 9pm, WTOC will present our salute to Grand Marshal Tony Ryan in a special half-hour program with Sonny Dixon and all of the fun-loving Irish. That's this Saturday at 9pm on WTOC. Then stay with us--at 9:30pm we'll air the WTOC special The Monsignor, a tribute to the 1997 grand marshal and Irishman through and through, Monsignor Daniel Bourke.
