Motorcyclist Dies After Wreck

The driver of a motorcycle was rushed to the hospital after a high-speed accident near Forsyth Park in Savannah. Witnesses tell police the driver was going over a hundred miles an hour when he ran a stop sign and slammed the bike into a van, around 7pm last night at the corner of Duffy and Barnard Streets.

The impact from the accident left the driver unconscious. He was taken to Memorial Health for treatment, where he died of his injuries. Police have identified him as Deyamain Dellon James, 25, a soldier based at Fort Stewart.

No one in the van was hurt.

Police say the investigation is continuing, but they do not expect any charges to be filed.
