Suspect Sought After Early-Monring Shooting

Police are looking for a shooting suspect tonight. A little after 6:30am this morning, Savannah-Chatham officers responded to a shooting at Live Oak and East 55th Streets. They arrived to find out that Tamika Hawkins had been shot at least once in the face by her neighbor.

The suspect fled the scene and police brought in the K-9 units to start looking for him.

"She had already been taken to Memorial upon our arrival and it appears this is a dispute between neighbors," said Sgt. Mike Izzo, with the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department.

Detectives say that Hawkins is in stable condition and her injuries are not life threatening.
