It was a "banner day" for the Rangers from the 75th Regiment as they got to blow off some steam and see who is the best. Daffin Park played host to the Banner Day festivities.
Rangers from 1st Battalion battled it out in a series of field events. From softball to wrestling and military-style challenges, there was something for everyone. While it is a competitive event, the Rangers say it's a great way to build teamwork and camaraderie.
"Since we're gone so much overseas, this is one of the few events to kind of let our hair down, relax and enjoy the day with each other in a friendly environment," said Capt. Jeremiah Hurley.
The company that wins the entire event gets a special uniform ribbon and bragging rights for an entire year.
