Another squadron at Marine Corps Air Station is going away. Marines and sailors with Marine All-Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 3-32 just returned from Iraq in February, but soon the Moonlighters will be gone for good.
Beginning in March, the Marine Corps will be deactivating the Hornet squadron along with another in California. Marine Corps officials say they're trying to maximize their manpower and number of jets as they transition from the Hornet to the Joint Strike Fighter.
The 200 members of the squadron will be reassigned to other units throughout the Marine Corps.
