Police Storm Home Looking for Savannah's Most Wanted
Police follow up on a tip.
Savannah-Chatham police are still looking for Juwaun Lee in connection with one of five shootings on Monday. Police say he shot an innocent bystander during a gun battle and he's also wanted for stealing an officer's gun.
This morning police got a tip that Lee was hiding out in a home in the 1000 block of East 33rd Street in Savannah. Police surrounded the home, banged on the door, searched the house, but found no sign of Lee.
The couple that lives there say they don't know Juwaun Lee and haven't seen him. Police say they will continue their intense search to get Lee behind bars.
Police spokesman Sgt. Mike Wilson said, "When we receive information we deem credible, we are going to follow up and what you saw here today is exactly what we are going to do in the future till they are off the street."
If you see Young or Sammy Lee Gadson, who is also wanted for one of Monday's shootings, call police or CrimeStoppers at 234.2020.
