Suspect in Fatal Shooting Remains at Large

Police on the scene Saturday. Police on the scene Saturday.

Savannah-Chatham police are still looking for the person who shot and killed a convenience store owner in an attempted robbery in Bacon Park. See if you recognize the man in the surveillance video linked above the image to the right on this page.

He's wearing a mask and pointing a gun at the man behind the counter. You can't see his face, but pay close attention to his gestures. Police are hoping you know who he is.

They say just before 1pm Saturday afternoon the man walked into Amal's Convenience Store, had words with the owner--64-year-old Mohamed Allidina--then shot Allidina before running out. Paramedics rushed Allidina to Memorial Health University, where he later died.

Police say the suspect is about 5'3" to 5'7" with a slim, athletic build. He was wearing a dark-colored shirt and light baggy pants.

He was last seen getting into a metallic green Oldsmobile.
