CINCINNATI - Michael Vick threw three touchdown passes to lead the Atlanta Falcons to a 29-to-27 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.
The mercurial quarterback has now led the 5-and-2 Falcons to consecutive wins over the defending Super Bowl champion Steelers and the defending A-F-C North champion Bengals.
Cincinnati couldn't run him down or slow down his passing and is 4-and-3 as a result. Vick went 20-of-28 for 291 yards and left would-be tacklers scattered all over the field while running for another 55 yards.
Carson Palmer's 55-yard touchdown pass to Chris Henry cut the Bengals' deficit to 29-to-27 with three-41 to go, but Vick helped the Falcons run the clock down to 19 seconds before Cincinnati got the ball back.
Palmer, who completed 24-of-36 for 266 yards and two T-Ds, fumbled on a sack to end the suspense.
