Parents who need a little help to make the holidays happy for their children don't have to go very far. On Friday, November 3, the Salvation Army will be accepting Christmas assistance applications from 8:30am to noon and 1pm to 4:30pm at the Salvation Army headquarters, 3000 Bee Road in Savannah.
This is to help families who need assistance providing Christmas toys for children, from infants to age 13.
Remember to bring the following items:
- Photo ID of main applicant
- Social Security Cards for everyone, including children
- Birth Certificate to verify age
- Proof of address
- Documentation to verify income
- Food stamp/Tanf/Social Security/SSI/VA/RET/Child Support Information
