Sgt. Loren Scholes was going about his normal patrolling routines early Wednesday morning in Chatham County. Around 5:55am, he noticed a car stuck at the railroad intersection of Gulf Stream Road and Highway 21.
Scholes was able to get the driver out of the car before a train plowed into the vehicle minutes later. No one was injured.
WTOC interviewed Sgt. Scholes about the incident and will have more on the story tonight on THE News at 6.
