Early Voting Starts for Runoff Election

One of the most talked-about local political races is that for Savannah-Chatham County Board of Public Education president. The runoff is between incumbent Hugh Golsen and former Armstrong Atlantic State University administrator Dr. Joe Buck.

Quite a few people are taking advantage of their chances to vote in advance. The main Voter Registration Office off Eisenhower Drive saw a steady stream of people all day.

"I vote in every election and this advanced voting gives people no reason not to get out and vote," said Savannah resident Bill Bland.

The early voting will be going on at the Voter Registration office from 8am until 5pm, and the Savannah Civic Center, and the Mosquito Control Office from 9am to 4pm, through this Friday.

The general runoff will be on December 5.
