COLUMBIA, S.C. - South Carolina receiver O.J. Murdock is leaving the football team with hopes to join the track team.
Murdock played in four games this season. He was arrested on shoplifting charges in Florida during South Carolina's off week and was suspended for two games.
Coach Steve Spurrier says Murdock is --no-- longer with the team. He says if Murdock remains eligible, he could join the track program.
Spurrier says Murdock is an excellent track athlete and said it's probably Murdock's best sport.
