ATHENS, Ga. Fifty members of the Georgia football team recorded grade point averages of 3.0 or higher during the recently completed 2006 Fall Semester.
"I am very proud of these student-athletes," Georgia coach Mark Richt said. "I was thrilled when I saw that number. They worked very hard to get these good grades. I was especially happy to see so many freshmen on the list. They've gotten their academic careers off to a good start."
Following is the list of players who recorded the 3.0 or higher GPAs:
4.00: Quentin Moses and Joe Tereshinski.
3.5-3.99: Sean Bailey, Quintin Banks, Shaun Chapas, Jonathan DeLaureal, Christopher Gaunder, Keegan Hanie, Donald Lyles, Martrez Milner, Brian Mimbs, John Ruskell, Will Sullivan, NaDerris Ward and Stephen White.
