Clemson suspends Coleman

CLEMSON, S.C. - Clemson starting cornerback Duane Coleman will sit out his final college game after his arrest earlier this week on marijuana possession.

Clemson coach Tommy Bowden says today he has decided his senior will --not-- play in the Music City Bowl against Kentucky on December 29th.

Bowden and Coleman talked to the reporters this morning. Seneca police say the 23-year-old Coleman was arrested Wednesday when a small amount of marijuana was found in his car.

Coleman was held overnight at the Oconee County jail in Walhalla and was released yesterday on a personal recognizance bond.

Coleman got his undergraduate degree on Thursday.
