ATLANTA - Thaddeus Young scored a career-high 24 points and Ra'Sean Dickey had 15 and a game-high nine rebounds to help Georgia Tech beat Georgia 78-to-69 tonight.
It was the Jackets' third straight win over the Bulldogs. Georgia Tech never trailed after Javaris Crittenton's 3-pointer gave his team a 48-to-45 lead with 15-minutes, one-second remaining.
Young -- a highly recruited forward from Memphis, Tennessee -- closed out a 14-0 run with a layup just 2:54 later. The 8-and-3 Yellow Jackets gave the home team an 11-and-1 record in the last 12 series matchups.
Levi Stukes finished with 21 points for Georgia -- which fell to 8-and-2. The Bulldogs went just 7-for-21 on three-point attempts. Mike Mercer, who entered leading the Bulldogs with an 18-point-1 point average -- scored just nine points, all of them on free throws.
Crittenton, a freshman point guard, finished with 13 points and Mario West with 12 for Georgia Tech.
