COLUMBIA, S.C. - South Carolina says its leading scorer -- senior point guard Tre Kelley -- will miss at least one game because of a bruised left knee.
Kelley left Friday's game against Jacksonville with just under seven minutes to play when he hurt his knee. Kelley has --NOT-- practiced since and is --NOT-- expected to practice before Wednesday's game against Western Carolina.
Team officials said in a news release today that Kelley will continue to rehab the knee and his condition will be re-evaluated in the next few days. Kelley is averaging a team-leading 16-point-eight points per game.
That's tied for fourth in the Southeastern Conference. Wednesday's game will be his first missed start after 55 consecutive games started, dating back to his sophomore season.
