CONWAY, S.C. (AP) - Joshua Mack scored 19 points to lead Coastal Carolina to an 83-56 win over Savannah State Wednesday night.
The Chanticleers (9-6) never trailed, but couldn't shake the Tigers (7-14) until the second half. Coastal Carolina led by 10 at the break, then went on a 16-4 run to open the second half and take a 47-4 lead with 16 minutes to go.
The Chanticleers forced 16 turnovers and got 20 points off Savannah State's mistakes. Coastal Carolina shot 50 percent (29-of-58) from the field and made 12 of its 28 3-pointers, while the Tigers shot 37 percent (20-of-54) from the field and made four of 16 shots from behind the arc. Joshua Obiajunwa had 12 points and seven rebounds to lead Savannah State.
