CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) - Keddric Mays and Casey Long combined for 32 points to lead Chattanooga to a 67-58 victory Wednesday night over Georgia Southern.
Chattanooga (8-10, 1-5 Southern Conference) had a 20-point margin at the free throw line, making 22-of-31 free throws while the Eagles hit 2-of-11. Mays scored 17 and Long 15 as the only two Moccasins in double figures.
Georgia Southern (9-7, 2-3) had balanced scoring as it lost for the first time after winning the past three. Donte Gennie and Jimmy Tobias had 16 points each, Dwayne Foreman 11 and Louis Graham 10 and a team-high 10 rebounds. Chattanooga controlled the boards, 39-32. The Mocs led 30-24 at halftime, then made 15-of-21 free throws in the second half.
