You may have seen Vickie Sikes' friendly face---if you've ever been to the state farmer's market in Garden City in the last 30 years.
Today is Sikes' last day, she started working there three decades ago as a secretary and was later left in charge of the market.
Sikes says she has loved helping local farmers sell their goods and will miss all the wonderful people she has met. "It's a very family oriented place, so you get to know the farmer's children and grandchildren and watch them grow up," she said. "It's real gratifying but it's time to do something else."
Sikes has already found someone to replace her, Kipp Braswell. He comes from a family of farmers and recently was in charge of the state farmers market in Macon.
