South Carolina Loses Home Game

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Korvotney Barber scored 16 points and grabbed eleven rebounds to help Auburn to an 80-75 win over South Carolina Wednesday night.

The Tigers matched their Southeastern Conference win total of four from a year ago by outrebounding the Gamecocks 38-19 and shooting better than 57 percent from the field.

South Carolina made the game interesting at the end, making three straight three-pointers to cut its deficit to two with 37 seconds to go, but couldn't pull down the rebound on a key missed free throw. Freshman Evaldas Baniulis scored a career-high 21 points, while Bryce Sheldon added 12 points, including two three-pointers in the final minute, for South Carolina, who is now 12-8 and 2-5 in the SEC.

Quan Prowell scored 15 points and Quantez Robertson added eleven points and seven assists for Auburn, who won its fifth game in a row in Columbia to improve to 14-9 and 4-4 in the SEC.
