Savannah-Chatham police are investigating an accident that left an off-duty officer and civilian injured. It happened at about 10:30pm Wednesday on the Truman Parkway, near the Eisenhower Drive exit.
Police say Star Cpl. Fred Hill was driving a cruiser south on the parkway when he lost control of the car and it crossed the median into the Northbound lanes. That's where the police car collided with a Saturn driven by 19-year-old Natasha Fleming.
Hill and Fleming were taken to Memorial Health where they are listed in good condition.
Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the accident.
The northbound lanes of Truman Parkway were closed for about two hours while the wreck was cleaned up.
