Helping the FL Tornado Victims

At least 20 people were killed in four central Florida counties where tornados struck early Friday morning. At least 20 people were killed in four central Florida counties where tornados struck early Friday morning.

Volunteers from the Savannah chapter of the American Red Cross are on standby to help the tornado victims in Florida. At least 20 people were killed in four central Florida counties where tornados struck early Friday morning. President Bush has declared all four of those counties disaster areas.

You don't have to be an emergency worker to help the victims. If you'd like to make a financial contribution, you can write a check payable to the "Red Cross National Disaster Fund - Florida Tornado Victims." You can bring or mail your donations to the Savannah Chapter of the American Red Cross at 906 Drayton Street, Savannah, GA 31401 or make a donation online to the American Red Cross at www.redcross.org

    Unseasonably warm high pressure will prevail into Saturday night. A cold front will approach the region late Sunday, then move through Monday night. High pressure is then expected until a warm front moves through Wednesday or Wednesday night, followed by another cold front late next week.
