Students Jump Rope for Heart

Some Savannah students are jumping and skipping their way to a healthy heart and helping to fund research into heart disease.

Today, students at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic School participated in Jump Rope for the Heart. Earlier this month they raised money for the American Heart Association and today they had to fulfill their pledges and jump rope.

First grader Taylor Grier was having a great time. "I'm getting a lot of exercise," she said.

Principal Nina Delk said, "Our physical education teacher has been working with them on various configurations of jumping rope and to music and they've been looking forward to it, getting to do something out of the ordinary."

Last year, the school raised $3,500. They are still counting the donations for this year.
