High School Uniforms Previewed at BOE Meeting

The Savannah-Chatham Board of Public Education took some time this afternoon to discuss next year's uniform policy for high school students.

Starting next school year, all Savannah-Chatham high school students will be dressed in uniforms. This afternoon, three students who served on the district's uniform committee were dressed in uniforms to preview what students will be wearing.

Students Courtney Scott and Chancellor Hudson participated in the fashion show and say they were glad the district included them in deciding the type of uniform and the colors.

"It's a good idea. I am okay with it now and it's not going to be so bad. I talked to a lot of my friends, they like the idea too" said Scott.

"Some students aren't going take it well, but they'll have to follow, cause that is the policy. They'll get used it," said Hudson.

Each school is in charge of picking the color of polo that the students will wear. That decision will be finalized the first week in April.
