Plans to widen the ever-growing Buckwalter Parkway in Bluffton is in the works.
While the widening has already begun on half of the road, plans for the other half of the road, including McCracken Circle, where the schools are located, will be unveiled Monday night.
Bluffton town councilman Charlie Wetmore is encouraging neighbors, especially those with children walking to school, to attend and give their input. "We have a unique situation here," said Wetmore. "We're not just looking at vehicle flow, we're not just looking at pedestrian traffic flow, we're looking at the two and how they interrelate."
The meeting is Monday night at Bluffton High School, beginning at 6:30pm. This is a joint project between the county and the Town of Bluffton.
