Police: Argument Over Woman Leads to Shooting

A man wanted for shooting the estranged husband of his girlfriend is behind bars and scheduled to be arraigned today. James Dandy III surrendered to Savannah-Chatham police Monday.

Dandy's accused of shooting Bobby Young on Sunday at the intersection of Ogeechee Road and Stiles Avenue. Police say it happened after the two men argued over the woman on Pritchard Street.

After Young left the home, police say a white SUV driven by Dandy pulled alongside his vehicle and Dandy shot Young. The wounded man was able to drive to Victory Drive and Ogeechee Road, where he called police.

Young is at Memorial Health in fair condition this morning. Dandy is in the Chatham County jail.
