A Savannah woman was seriously injured after being hit by a car on the city's southside. Savannah-Chatham police say the pedestrian was crossing Abercorn Street near Largo Drive around 10:30pm Tuesday night.
The driver of a Toyota, heading west on Abercorn, couldn't stop and hit her. She was thrown into the windshield and sustained broken bones and a head injury.
Ambulance crews rushed her to Memorial Health.
The name of the victim has not yet been released.
