Some Savannah Teens are getting a good start on their futures today.
The Young Men of Honor held their banquet Sunday afternoon. The group works to help inner city boys develop into productive young men and members of the community. Mentors help the boys make wise decisions during the tough teen years.
Mayor Otis Johnson explains, "it's very important for these young men to know that the community knows what they do because these men are usually portrayed as potential drop outs or potential criminals but if you look at these young men today you know they will not be in that group."
The teens received some special awards today.
