Humane Society Offers Tips for Spooked Pets

How did your pets do with the fireworks last night? Some don't take the noise too well.

But there might be some things you could do to help calm them down, especially if people continue to celebrate.

The Savannah/Chatham Humane Society has received several phone calls from people asking what they should do if their pets start getting spooked. Director of the Humane Society Lynn Gensamer says there are a couple of simple things you can do, "You need to touch your animal when they act our be reassuring to them."

There can be serious anxiety problems and if your pet starts vomiting or getting sick, you should contact your vet.

If you want more information, you can contact the Savannah/Chatham Humane Society.
