The end of an era may be near. The voice of Georgia football... Larry Munson... is contemplating retirement. Munson says he wants to return for his 41st season... but doesn't know if his body will let him.
The 84-year-old Munson has battled prostate cancer and suffers from arthritis and back problems. Munson is considering doing only home games at Sanford Stadium. He says he'll make up his mind in the next couple of weeks whether or not he'll be in the booth this season.
Munson met with athletic director Damon Evans Monday and said Georgia knows they will have to find another announcer sooner or later. For Bulldog fans, they hope it's later rather than sooner.
