Think you can walk 10,000 steps a day? WellCare of Georgia wants you to Step It Up.
It's part of their wellness campaign to raise awareness in the community about the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
They want people to sign up, grab a pedometer and start keeping track of how many steps they take per day. "Especially with diabetes and hypertension. Once they start exercising and work on their diet, it will help them form getting those types of diseases," said vice president of the 100 Black Men James Saunders.
It will also help people get on track to a healthier lifestyle."We know that you can't fight disease unless your body's healthy. Your body is a machine. If you don't take care of it, it won't take care of you," exclaimed Martina Correia the executive director for the National Black Leadership Initiative on Cancer.

And as part of Step it Up, WellCare offers a Personal Walking Journal and Log to help you keep track of your progress.
