Former Calvary football and basketball star... Demarcus Dobbs... is making his bid for playing time with the Georgia Bulldogs this season. The redshirt freshman will probably see some action in the season opener.
Dobbs is listed as the second team defensive end and will also be on special teams. At the beginning of practice... He was starting on two of the defensive squads. He said... sitting out last year and watching the bulldog starters who helped him learn his position. "I spent most of my time just watching Charles Johnson and Quentin Moses during practice. I learned from them saying different points and areas I have to work on. i felt like the redshirt season benefitted me a lot during the season. one thing you have to do is condition yourself. you have to be in great condition because the linemen in the SEC are going to be way bigger than you, but you have an advantage because you're quicker and you have to be in shape."
