The stakes have been raised at South Effingham high school.
"We won a sub region championship and we made it to the playoffs last year," says Bobby Stroud, "but we never won a playoff game in the history of the school, I want to at least win one playoff game and I want 2 or 3 more."
"We expect to be competitive, we won the sub region championship last year so we're eyeing bigger things, we've got our eyes on a region championship and going further in the playoffs, that's what I expect." adds head coach Greg Manior.
To get there, the Mustangs are hard at work on the field and in the weight room.
"Lots of hard work, put in a lot of work." says Gage Marks.
Chris Zittrouer adds, "A lot of hard work at practice and doing what we're suppose to do."
"I'm itching to kill, I'm ready to knock someone out, I can't wait." adds Stroud.
Now we know what this team wants to do but what can we expect Friday nigh under the lights?
"I don't know you'll have to come out and watch." says Marks.
We'll see you there, August 31st for their first game at Groves,
