For 15 years, Tim Guidera told Savannah's stories to Savannah in the local paper, winning more than 100 state and national writing awards for his features, profiles, commentary and analysis.
In August 2007, he brought his storytelling style and identity in the community to WTOC as a feature reporter and online columnist. In that role, he will move beyond a sports background, in which he covered every sport at every level, including Super Bowls, World Series, college bowl games and four Olympics on three continents.
He will produce multi-part series and themed half-hour shows in addition to contributing to WTOC's news programs and co-hosting its sports specials.
A native of Staten Island, NY, Tim moved to Savannah "for six months,'' in 1992. Since then, he has become the worst kind of Yankee, the kind that doesn't leave and marries a Savannah girl.
He and his wife Anne have three children, twins Brian and Grace, and Isabella.
Tim's occasional free moments are spent pursuing passions for golf, cooking and more golf.
