Expect the Toombs county bulldogs to run, and run and then run some more when they they hit the field to open up the 2007 season...

Head Coach Mark Stroud says, "We're a wing-T but we'll be a little bit more of a combination of some things we did in the past, things we believe in. It'll be a bit of a twist to what we've been doing."

A healthy does of Demery Hawkins and Scottie Roach spells trouble for those on the opposite sideline. The dynamic duo combined for over 2000 yards on the ground last season for coach Mark Stroud and both are back in bulldog uniforms this season.

"We got two guys who rushed for over a thousand yards coming back at fullback and halfback," Stroud adds, "and another half back with experience and we've got a good corp of wide outs."

Coach Stroud won't be lacking on the defensive side of the ball either, Hawkins is back to anchor the line backing corp and he's joined by a group of experienced teammates

Stroud says, "We got 6 guys back on defense, they've got good corp of those guys who know what they're doing."

The dogs finished up at a 7 and 4 clip last season but a first round playoff exit left the dogs hungry for the '07 season. And they plan to make their bite louder than their bark come kick off!
