Remember the old nursery rhyme, "The wheels on the bus go round and round", Throw in 80+ football players on that yellow bus and a head coach behind the wheel and safe to say Georgia Southern remembers the rhyme and the tradition started by the late great Erk Russell.
On Saturday the eagles drove up to Paulson Stadium in yellow buses old school style, surrounded by screaming eagle fans, and yes that was head eagle Chris Hatcher in the driver's seat, but parents, don't expect him to drive your kids to school!
"It was the first time I'd ever driven a school bus before, it takes some wide turns, I was told it was Anders driving the back bus, I said don't get too close to me and I told the policeman to make sure they clear two lanes the entire way, I had heard so much about the bus, I figured heck I might as well be the one who drives it in opening night." says Hatcher.
Senior quarterback, Jayson Foster adds, "It was energetic, everyone was psyched up ready to go it was a great feeling to see the fans lined up and pulling up, it was a great atmosphere when we were pulling up.
