The Bryan County Sheriff's Department has confirmed 17-year-old Tam Duc Le was arrested yesterday at school on vehicular homicide charges for the March 21 accident that killed three other students in his car. See Three High School Students Killed in Bryan County Wreck.

Le was driving sisters Heather and Melissa Arthur and friend Laura Cobb to school when at about 8am, he lost control of his car and veered into the other lane.

A pickup truck going the other way slammed into the side of Lee's car. Police say the three passengers died instantly. See Friends and Family Say Goodbye to Pembroke Teen.

Le was airlifted to Memorial Health in critical condition.

At the time, police said it would take a while to investigate this deadly crash. They said they wanted to be thorough.

"You want to do a good job so the victims' story is told, and there is some accountability," said Capt. Mike Maxwell of the Bryan County Sheriff's Department. "So we can tell we can tell the parents what happened with a high degree of certainty."
