Ingredients:
- 1 large can crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup Vodka (better grade)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 heavy cream
- 1 onion (diced)
- 3 cloves garlic (diced)
- fresh basil (chopped)
- 16 oz bag of favorite pasta (cooked and *drained)
*pasta water helps bind sauce to pasta, so hold on to a half a cup or so
Directions:
- Sautee onion and garlic until soft, add tomatoes and broth, simmer for 10 mins.
- Add vodka and simmer for 10 mins, cooking off alcohol.
- Slowly stirring, add cream not to curdle, simmer on low for 10 mins.
- Combine pasta and sauce in large dish and garnish with fresh basil.
