It looked like it was going to be a cake walk for Georgia Southern. The Eagles took a 31-7 lead into the locker room at halftime only to let South Dakota State back in the game in the second half.
By the time the 4th quarter rolled around, the game was tied at 38 a piece. The Jack Rabbits missed a late field goal giving GSU a chance late in the game to win...but they couldn't score giving the ball back to SDSU. But Carson Hill intercepted the Jack Rabbits QB Ryan Berry giving the Eagles one more shot.
Jesse Hartley came on to attempt a 54 yard field goal with time ticking off the clock. He nailed it as time expired giving GSU a dramatic victory over the Jack Rabbits, 41-38.
GSU improves to 4-1 on the season, they hit the road to face Elon next weekend.
