MADD Campaign Kicks Off in Savannah for Holiday Season

MADD luncheon today. MADD luncheon today.

SAVANNAH, GA--Mothers Against Drunk Driving is launching their holiday campaign to keep drunk drivers off the roads this holiday season.

MADD'S campaign focus on four key elements: intense high visibility, law enforcement, grassroots support and alcohol ignition interlock system.

MADD director Denise Thames says the community's support is very vital in order for the campaign to be successful.

"We provide free services to victims. So it's important that people in the Savannah community as well as all communities in Georgia know that MADD is here. We are available when you need us. And we need the support of our community in order to survive," she said.

MADD is asking this holiday season that everyone tie red ribbons on their cars as a symbol of solidarity in having a dry, safe, and sober holiday.
