Tigers Avenge Loss, Beat High Point

(AP) - Curtis Brown had 12 points off the bench to help Savannah State hold off High Point Saturday afternoon.

The Panthers cut Savannah State's lead to 43-42 with about 10 minutes left. But High Point could get no closer in the 62-59 Tigers' win.

Anthony Jones and Joel Davila had 11 points apiece for Savannah State, which fell at High Point this past Tuesday night.

Savannah State improved to 7-9. High Point fell to 6-5.

Arizona Reid and Mike Jefferson led the Panthers with 13 points each.
