ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - Megan Darrah scored a season-high 20 points and had a career-high five steals to lead undefeated Georgia to a 93-49 win over Presbyterian Wednesday night in Athens.
Ashley Houts added 16 points and six assists for seventh-ranked Georgia, which won its 13th game. Tasha Humphrey doubled with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Her rebounding total moved her one ahead of Christi Thomas on the career rebounding chart at Georgia with 907.
Katlin Moore led Presbyterian (1-15) with 15 points. Georgia is off to the second best start in school history. The 1989-90 team also started 13-0 before losing. Only the 1998-99 team started off better, winning its first 14 games.
Georgia scored the first six points of the game, but the Lady Blue Hose rallied to briefly tie the game at 6-6 on Bridget Takach's 3-pointer with 17:17 to play. But Darrah soon keyed an 11-0 run by Georgia, scoring on a spin-move in the lane, a stop-and-pop in transition and hitting two free throws as the Lady Dogs built a 24-8 lead.
Darrah scored 14 in the first half, which bettered her previous season high of 13.
