Fort Stewart Soldier Killed in Iraq

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A 24-year-old soldier from Jordan, Minn., was killed when an improvised explosive device exploded near his vehicle in Iraq earlier this week.

The Department of Defense says Pfc. Joshua R. Anderson died on Wednesday in Kamasia.

He was assigned to the 3rd Infantry Division out of Fort Stewart, Ga.

Anderson is the 68th person with strong Minnesota ties to have died in connection with the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
