SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The Georgia Air National Guard got a new state of the art facility today. The Savannah Combat Readiness Training Center or CRTC held a ribbon cutting ceremony, allowing air guard members to get a close up look at their new digs.

The new center will provide tactical training that will help communication specialists fine tune their skills to handle the combat communications network overseas.

Instructors say this will help reservists and the guard stay up to speed. "We realized that we had to train our reservists in a different format and a different way. This is what the school is all about. you have the war fighters, and communicators prepare to go to war," said Colonel Floyd Harbin of the Air National Guard.

The first class will begin March 18.
