HARDEEVILLE, SC (WTOC) - It's no secret Hardeeville is booming with growth. That's why the city is taking extra steps to help local businesses.

The city of Hardeeville is teaming up with the University of South Carolina Beaufort Small Business Development Center and the National Bank of South Carolina to help businesses inside the city by establishing a new business assistance program. The program will provide businesses with one-on-one business counseling services as well as bi-monthly education forums and seminars to help them succeed.

"Taking care of them is crucial not only to make sure they succeed but also creating a business atmosphere where if someone else is considering becoming the next existing business in Hardeeville, they're confident in doing so and they're part of a family that wants to help them succeed and grow," said Ted Felder, the city's economic development director.

All Hardeeville businesses will soon be receiving a letter about the free services. This assistance program will help both struggling businesses and those wanting to start a new business or even expand.
