PORT WENTWORTH, GA (WTOC) - Many people outside Port Wentworth who didn't know anyone at the Imperial Sugar refinery have been struck by the tragedy of the deadly explosion and fire there last Thursday.

On Sunday, a group of motorcyclists from Savannah Christian Church rode in to offer their prayers for the victims, their families and emergency responders. They said they know this is a big loss to this close-knit community and can't comprehend what the families must be going through.

"You can't begin to imagine what these people are feeling who have lost these families and didn't have that last chance to say goodbye," explained Tip Tober. "It's just a sad situation."

The motorcyclists were just a few of the many people who stopped to pause in front of the sugar refinery on Sunday.
