SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - It's addictive and delightful, Girl Scout cookies; but now you can get it in the form of ice cream too, but not for long.
The Girl Scouts are kicking off the cookie season a little differently this year. They've partnered up with Leopold's Ice Cream in Savannah to create the Girl Scout "Thin Mints n Cream" ice cream.
Thursday they had a big celebration at Leopold's unveiling the new flavor. Thirty of the top selling Girl Scouts were on hand to sample the new flavor, along with Jaime Deen and Jackie Ford, CEO of the Girl Scout Council of Savannah.
The Girl Scouts say they couldn't be more thrilled about the partnership. "Leopold's has been around since the early 1900's too so they have a long history. We have a long history in Savannah since the Girl Scouts were formed in 1912, so it's nice to form a partnership," said Tara Panzo with the Girl Scout Council.
The ice cream will be available through Saint Patrick's Day or while supplies last.
