People shaved their heads to support the fight for cancer.
SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Ever shaved off your hair for something positive?
Dozens of people came out to the Savannah Mall to take part in the annual St. Baldricks Fundraiser. People were shaving their heads to help in finding a cure for children dealing with cancer. For one donor who shaved it all, this fundraiser is all to real.
"I'm shaving my head for my son, he has cancer," said donor Lee Singletary. "We did it back when we found out he was diagnosed with cancer and we are doing it again."
WTOC Executive Producer, Aaron Vogel lost his goatee for the cause. Our own Mike Cihla served as emcee. Organizers hope to raise $30,000 dollars to help childhood cancer research.
